Wayne S. Maxson, M.D.
Board Certified, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Wayne S. Maxson, M.D., founding physician of IVF Florida, is a native of Abington, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University. Following training, he was a faculty member at Vanderbilt University for five years.
In 1986 Dr. Maxson came to South Florida to form the Northwest Center for Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology (NCIRE) in association with Columbia Northwest Medical Center. Over the years, he has established state-of-the-art diagnostic andrology and endocrine assay laboratories and been part of more than 40 scientific publications. He also holds three patents for treatments in reproductive medicine. Dr. Maxson currently serves as a clinical associate professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
